The Mission
Preserving and presenting South Florida's rich military heritage to inspire and educate future Americans.
The History
Nestled on the historic grounds of WWII Naval Air Station Richmond—the nation’s southernmost blimp base—the Miami-Dade Military Museum & Memorial proudly showcases artifacts donated by South Florida veterans who’ve served from World War II through today’s theaters of operation. Through immersive exhibits and personal stories, we honor the service, sacrifice, and achievements of our active-duty personnel, veterans, their families, and the supporters who sustain this great community. Join us in preserving these legacies and ensuring their stories continue to inspire future generations.

Miami-Dade Military Museum was honored to welcome BGEN Franzy Sanchez and sixty officers of the Colombian War College on August 12, 2025. Colombia fought beside the US in Korean War; they were delighted by our exhibits, and we awarded the General a "PLANKOWNER" Certificate. It was such great camaraderie we shared as we hosted our guests from Colombia.
